Frogfoot is looking for voice and data technicians.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for tech savvy customer-oriented installer / repair
technicians to do both remote and on-site installations of
telecommunications infrastructure.

This is an ideal position for someone who has some degree of knowledge
of computers and/or networks, but not necessarily the practical
experience or qualifications required to apply for a more advanced
devops, sysadmin, or network engineer type job.

At Frogfoot you will get exposure to all levels of networking and
security infrastructure, including active and passive optical
networks, routing and switching infrastructure, IP telephony, and much
more and will have the opportunity to grow into a more advanced
support and engineering role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an installer / repair technician, you will configure equipment
(routers, switches, etc) for new customer installations, do remote
and/or on-site installations, as well as troubleshoot and basic
communications problems.

Installer / repair technician responsibilities:

 * Meet with customers to define scope of installations;

 * Using a courteous and professional approach to address customer
   questions and concerns; discussing equipment placement, cable
   routing, paperwork completion, etc;
 
 * Configure routers, switches, voice gateways, PBX systems,
   IP phones, firewalls, and so forth;
   
 * Test, diagnose, and repair connectivity issues;

 * Do on-site installations of equipment, cabling, patching, etc;
 
 * Performing basic personal computer (PC) and Local Area Network
   (LAN) setup and repair;

 * Completing all installation and repair paperwork;

 * Working with the rest of the team, including procurement,
   operations, sales, and other technical support staff to deliver an
   efficient and professional service to our customers;

 * Notifying appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may
   affect efficient operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 * Valid driver's license to drive within the Company's geographical
   footprint on a regular basis

 * Your own car

 * Proficient with office suite (such as Excel, Word, etc), email, and
   other job related software
   
 * Basic understanding of IP networking

 * Ability to analyze and define problems, calculate figures and
   amounts, prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain 
   flexible

 * Demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities

 * Ability to work weekend and/or evening work; availability to
   perform some travel 

 * Some experience in a related customer and/or technical support
   and/or operations/engineering role would be advantageous.
