join our IT team.

Reporting to the Head of IT and Physical Resources, your
primary responsibilities will include maintaining and
developing the departmental Linux systems making a
significant contribution to overall planning and development
of IT systems and strategy. You may lead project teams
managing the work of junior team members. As part of an IT
team of seven you will work both individual as well as
collaborating with other team members. The IT team
collectively support system security, upgrades and
development, as well as providing general IT support in
person and via an email trouble ticketing system.

With proven expertise in the above areas you will often be
expected to work on your own initiative and excellent
organisational and communication skills will be needed for
dealing with staff at all levels in the University.

This is a permanent position.  The exact duties will be
determined by the successful candidate's level of experience
and expertise (and the post may be under filled at grade 7
