   * Manage automated newsfeed aggregation platform
   * Provide IT support for staff, both local and remote

Responsible for administering and maintaining various web site scrapers
used to aggregate news from numerous sources into editorial queue. Will
work in close contact with US-based members of our technical staff and
editorial and tech staff in Cape Town, Dakar and other locations.
Candidates should have programming experience and be comfortable with
perl or a similar programming language, like ruby or python. Familiarity
required with the unix command line, the HTTP protocol, and HTML.
Experience writing code to use the POP, SMTP, and FTP protocols will
also be helpful. Also needed is basic knowledge about hardware and
software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repairs and
replacements. Salary based on employment history and skill level. To
