Position available for Junior IT consultant in Cape Town area

 

Scope of work: 

1.       Remote and occasional on-site support of systems and hardware.
Support mostly done via remote access with call centre type communication
with clients. 

2.       Implementation of new systems at clients

3.       ADSL and email hosting support

 

Requirements:

1.       Good computer hardware knowledge

2.       Understanding of networking and TCP/IP

3.       Proficiency in major desktop operating systems (Windows 2000,XP,
Vista, 7, Linux Ubuntu, Centos)

4.       Basic knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server
2000,2003,2008)

5.       Good communication skills for dealing with clients telephonically,
via email and personally

6.       Own transport and drivers licence essential
