[Clug-work] Agile startup team based in Cape Town, Silicon Valley and Rio de Janeiro seeks OO developer

Hi CLUG community,

We (Kaluma) are working on a new generation of web-based business
software and are looking for a great software developer to join us.
We're a small and agile team spread across offices in Cape Town, San
Francisco and Rio de Janeiro and we have a growing international
customer base.

Kaluma's software platform is built on a loosely-coupled web services
architecture written in object oriented PHP and deployed on Amazon's
EC2 and S3. We make heavy use of code generation (our code writes
code) as well object caching techniques (using Memcached).

We're looking for an excellent developer with a good understanding of
object orientation and possibly a background in Python, Perl, C++ or
Java. Knowledge of SQL (preferably MySQL) is essential. Linux, CSS and
Javascript/Jquery experience is a plus. The right attitude and ability
is more important than corporate experience, and mentoring will be
offered.
