*Compuscan* is looking for a *Linux/UNIX system administrator* to assist 
in the maintenance of their infrastructure.
The position requires the following skills:

*_Key Requirements: _*

- 2 yrs Extensive Linux / UNIX skills (Networking and Storage)

- DNS, Radius

- Familiarity with databases and automation (MySQL, Postgres)

- High availability and fail over scenario's, load balanced environment's

- Strong working knowledge of storage environment (SAN, NAS)

- Software experience with Apache, Tomcat, PHP, postfix, LDAP**

- Proxies (Squid)

- Troubleshooting weirdness

- Virtualisation (VMWare, ESX)

- Disaster Recovery

- Firewalls (Iptables)

-         Enterprise Backups

-         Windows Domain administration (Active Directory)

-         CCNA

-         Mail Server Administration (POSTFIX)..

-         Strong Networking Skills (TCP/IP, Routing, traffic shaping, 
Fault finding, Cisco Routers)

-         Familiar with Monitoring Software

-         Sun Microsystems Solaris Experience (Installation, 
maintenance, Admin, ZFS)

- Reliability and punctuality

- A passion for making the open source solution that is in place, work 
effectively.

 

*_Responsibilities will include: _*

- Monitoring and maintenance of servers and services

- Complete security audits on a routine basis

- Administrative scripting

- Plan and expand current infrastructure

 

*Based on experience and qualification we offer the following:*

    * Basic salary: Negotiable
    * Provident fund and Medical aid after the Probation period
