Job type: permanent
Description of the work involved: Development of embedded Linux software.
Embedded system consist of IEEE1394 cameras, digital compass, accelerometers,
PKI encryption, phased array radar, GPS, GSM modem - Yes you guessed it: It's
a speed camera J Hardware development and the bulk of the software is done.
We need you to do the last 10% of development that takes 90% of the time...
Term (length) of employment: permanent - We don't only do speed cameras - we
actually have more advanced technologies that we develop so there is scope
for a interesting long term employment.
Required: skills, experience, technologies, education
We are using Debian 3.1r8 with modified kernel code to accommodate proper
PCI-bus management.
We require good C++ experience and an excellent understanding of object
orientated programming.
You must be able to type on a keyboard

If you are smarter than anyone you know - you either don't know a lot of
people or you are exactly what we're looking for...
Here are some skills that we use and value:
· Heuristic optimisation techniques
· WCDMA/GSM network architecture and/or SS7 knowledge
· Kalman filters
· FMCW and Digital beam steering techniques (radar)
· Viterbi algorithms
· Image enhancement, feature extraction and classification
· AI/CI knowledge
· CAN/Flexray fieldbus
· Symbian/Windows CE/J2ME able
· Execution optimisation using DSP
· Parallel processing using FPGA
· Oracle
· 802.11 & 802.16
· Matlab
