Hi
We have two contract positions in Cape Town, and seven in Johannesburg
available, for a corporate client. They are one year contracts, and
may be extended. The positions entail the design, implementation,
monitoring, maintenance, support and problem management of Weblogic
8.1 in the Clarify 12.5 environment, using Oracle 9i RAC and Weblogic
clustering. If you have any of these skills and you are assertive,
customer focused, motivated, pro-active, responsible and able to work
with a team, read on.
The required skills are:
- Experience in HP Unix and Oracle PL/SQL, Java (JSP and Java Beans) preferable
- Proven experience in support of Java based systems
- Expert knowledge in the configuration and performance tuning of Bea
Weblogic 8.1 SP3
- Problem analysis, problem co-ordination
- Basic knowledge of Clarify will be an advantage
Outputs are:
- Compile reports
- Design optimal configuration of Weblogic Cluster environment
- Assist with implementation of Weblogic Cluster
- Maintain systems
- Provide support of Weblogic cluster
- Skills transfer to in-house resources
You will apply your Weblogic expertise in the following areas:
- Design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, support of Clarify 12.5
- Analyse customer requirements and provide optimal solution
- Analyse problems and assist with corrective actions
- Assist in developing processes to ensure production availability and stability
- Provide inputs to project plans
- Conduct problem investigations and produce alert and incident reports
- Provide second level support to operations teams, planning, testing
- Communicate and follow-up on daily issues
- Support implemented solution
- Problem management of related failures
You must be prepared to work overtime and/or after hours, and travel
when required.
You need a Code 8 driver's licence and preferably your own transport.
