sophisticated international hosting infrastructure?

Upfront Systems needs a system administrator to help with the management
of their hosting infrastructure.

If you like an informal, non-corporate environment, 80 GB of music and
colleagues that are somewhat eccentric, then Upfront Systems needs you.

If you are self-driven and disciplined, ambitious and creative, then we
need you.

If you have experience in the administration of Debian, Postfix, LDAP,
Squid, Heartbeat, Linux V-Server and Zope, we need you.

If you know Python too, we want you.

If you can interact directly with clients without freaking them out with
technical jargon, we want you.

We host managed servers for clients with a variety of requirements. For
the sake of flexibility and resource efficiency, all our hosted servers
are virtual servers. Features offered include failover hot standby. At
the core of our business are web applications built on Zope and Plone.
Hosting high-volume Plone sites is a demanding job, requiring in-depth
knowledge of Squid and caching technology.

You will be responsible for maintaining and managing the server
infrastructure, monitoring resource usage, and planning and executing
platform upgrades.

Our goal is to be able to offer a fully redundant, backed-up,
distributed hosting platform.

Salary negotiable, based on experience.
