Hi all

We are based in the Southern Suburbs and are looking for someone who can 
help computer users with their desktop computer problems. This would not 
be for someone who is already working. It would be suitable for a recent 
high school graduate looking to break into the IT field and gain work 
experience.

At a minimum they would need the following skills or attributes
* demonstrable aptitude for computers
* knowledge of desktop software
* strong interest in technology
* good people skills
  -> patient & friendly
  -> good at explaining
* an interest in working in an internationally recognised and dynamic 
non profit organisation
* basic website maintenance (editing HTML or a tool e.g. Composer)
* willingness to learn

It would be advantageous if they have done computer studies as a school 
subject or an A+ qualification. This is not essential if it can be shown 
that the person possesses a solid understanding of computers.

The desktop environment consists of Linux and MSFT Windows. 
OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Thunderbird, etc are run on both operating systems.

Conditions of employment:  temporary contract for 3 months with the 
possibility of permanent employment. Salary negotiable.
