Not true. You can only have four primary partitions per drive.
All four can be primary. Then you are limited to only four
partitions. One of them can be logical. Then you can have as many
partitions as you like. There may be an upper limit to how many
logical partitions can go in an extended partition, but it is not
as low as four. For eg, my partition table shows nine.
